A Japanese Domestic Product (JDM) product that also launched in the United States in 2025. Overtex was developed from the Sunline’s high-end bass line, Shooter. The original Shooter formula features 100% fluorocarbon with ultra-low stretch, high sensitivity and extreme abrasion resistance. That formula is taken to a new level with Sunline’s proprietary Plasma Rise Technology. The unique Plasma Rise Technology applied to Overtex was developed specifically for this product to change the surface of the line forming a glassy polymer layer on the surface of the line at a molecular level. This treated surface improves abrasion resistance and extends the durability of the line itself, allowing it to maintain peak performance for longer use. Overtex is equipped with a repeating, metered color pattern of clear, green, orange and red. The primary line is clear, and has repeated markings added to every yard for green, five yards for orange and ten yards for red.  This allows anglers to tie on a lure in one of the clear sections and have the ability to see the line clearly with the metered colors no matter what the surroundings. Overtex features parallel spooling which is a precision winding method that reduces kinks and surface irregularities. The line moves straight when taken off the spool and the surface is excellent.
